The CALM-BLACK 125 T is the 125 mm (5″) duct version of the “Calm” series by Blauberg, engineered for larger bathrooms, utility rooms or other high-moisture areas. It features a mixed-flow impeller design capable of delivering up to 187 m³/h (≈ 52 l/s) of airflow. It is built with German-designed anti-vibration mounts and maintains a low sound level (around 32 dB(A)) making it an excellent choice for quiet performance even in domestic installations.
What sets this model apart is its built-in adjustable run-on timer. Once the fan is activated (typically via the lighting circuit), it continues to run for a preset duration (often adjustable between 2-30 minutes) after the activation signal is removed, helping to clear residual moisture or odours even after the room is vacated. The unit also includes an anti-back-draft shutter to prevent unwanted air ingress when the fan is idle.
From an installation-and-compliance standpoint, the CALM-BLACK 125 T is rated IP45, meaning it is suitable for installation in bathroom Zones 1 & 2 (with the correct electrical protection). It holds an A+ energy-rating and is backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty, indicating reliability and efficiency in line with building regulation requirements (Parts F & L in the UK).
