Aico Ei168RC 230V Mains RadioLINK Base for 140RC Series Alarms

The Aico Ei168RC is a mains-powered RadioLINK base designed to add wireless interconnection capabilities to compatible Aico 140e Series smoke and heat alarms. Fitting directly beneath compatible alarms such as the Ei146e optical smoke alarm and Ei144e heat alarm, it replaces the standard Easi-fit base and enables alarms to communicate wirelessly with one another. When one interconnected alarm detects a fire, the RadioLINK system allows all connected alarms to sound, helping provide an earlier and more effective warning throughout the property.

Powered from a 230V AC supply, the Ei168RC features a rechargeable lithium cell backup to maintain wireless functionality during a mains power failure. RadioLINK uses an RF mesh system to provide reliable communication between compatible devices, with a range of up to 30 metres in a standard property. Up to 12 RadioLINK devices can be interconnected, while the House Coding function helps prevent interference from other RF systems.

Installation is designed to be straightforward, using the same fitting approach as the standard Easi-fit base. The Ei168RC can also be used to create hybrid systems, allowing RadioLINK wireless alarms to be incorporated into an existing hard-wired interconnected system. Measuring approximately 150mm in diameter and 37mm deep, the base is compatible with Aico 140e Series alarms and carries a 5-year warranty, providing a convenient way to upgrade compatible installations with wireless interconnection.
