Aico Ei144e 230V Mains Heat Alarm with 9V Battery Backup & Easi-fit Base

The Aico Ei144e is a reliable mains-powered heat alarm designed to provide dependable fire detection in areas where smoke alarms may be prone to nuisance alarms. Using a thermistor heat sensor, the alarm responds when the surrounding temperature reaches 58°C, making it particularly suitable for kitchens and garages where fumes, steam and cooking vapours could otherwise trigger a smoke alarm. The Ei144e operates from a 230V AC mains supply and includes a replaceable 9V alkaline battery backup for continued protection during a power cut.

The alarm features an 85dB(A) sounder at 3 metres and a Test/Hush button that checks the sensor, electronics and sounder while allowing the alarm to be temporarily silenced when required. It can be interconnected with other compatible Aico alarms either through a hard-wired connection or wirelessly using the optional Ei168RC RadioLINK base. This makes the Ei144e suitable for both individual installations and larger interconnected fire alarm systems.

Installation is made straightforward with the supplied Easi-fit base, which incorporates an integral terminal block, wiring cover and anti-tamper mounting plate. The alarm has a 10-year operational life and a 5-year guarantee, with a compact 148mm diameter x 61mm profile. As part of Aico's 140e Series, the Ei144e provides a practical and dependable heat detection solution for kitchens, garages and other suitable areas where resistance to nuisance alarms is important.
